I’m a working medical anthropologist who currently holds an Assistant Professor position in the Dept. of International Studies at the University of Oregon. So, for now, my home base is Eugene, Oregon.  I am also a faculty mentor for the USC-Autonoma Universidad Benemérita de Puebla (Mexico) Latino Mental Health training program. I hold my PhD in Anthropology and an MPH from UCLA. You can find more about my academic work at academia.edu. In my non-work time, I bike/run/swim, walk my dog, Carinho and play with my cat, Salvador. I occasionally post on this blog when I feel have I something interesting to share and because I hate FB.
